Amazing technology. I just hate that Microsoft took the credit by employing the guy that created it. I don’t think Microsoft is the devil but i prefer that the small guy takes the credit

well i think this guy is better off this way, he would have never gotten the chance alone and he probably has a whole lot of money this way. i’m not sayng it should be Microsoft, it might have been any other big company that took him under its wing.. now for this technology, i only see little added value; the (limited) control over what you wanna see in the photo or where you wanna go in a location.. a simple video can give the same location info, but without the control

Don’t understand why this is seen as new. They’ve been doing panoramic photos for over 100 years now, and there has been software to display them on websites for at least 10 or more years, plus other websites display them as java or flash without the need to install the photosynth software.
