Paul Krugman wins economics Nobel Prize (and proves he can be funny too!)

Paul Krugman, the Princeton professor and famous New York Times columnist has just won the Nobel Prize for Economics for his work on trade theories. He is a fierce critic of the Bush administration on economic policies and the Iraq war.

What’s interesting about Krugman is that despite his respected academic work, he manages to explain economic issues in his books and in the media in a language that is accessible to everyone.

Watch this video of him from last month as he talks to Bill Maher, proving that Economic geniuses can be funny too..

The video is preceded by a hilarious spoof John McCain political ad.
