Barack Obama

Good morning world. Good morning America.

The world needs an American president with Obama’s personal history.

Despite the grave mistakes of the past, I still believe that America can be good to the world, but it needs to be lead away from a stance of muscle flexing and arrogance. Obama is someone who just might be able to do it.

Politician are politicians. And politics are, essentially, an ugly game. But even there we need good people who, at least, can nudge things in a better direction.

The security gates at hotels, malls, airports are a reminder how ugly the world has become in the last eight years.

We all desperately need change.

And I want my kids to grow up the next four or eight years in a world where Barack Obama is president of the United States.

I want to live in a world with Obama’s lead :)

He has a lot to do to put the world back on track. Bush messed things up pretty bad! Finally that era is behind us!

Seriously, I don’t like Obama, but I hate McCain, Obama is, as Steve Jobs would say, “a bag of hurt”…

Read the following article, not for the support for Nader, but for the points it brings up against all the hype around Obama. Obama is the same shit, he voted for the war in Iraq, for the reinstitution of the Patriot Act, he sold out on his position on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, he doesn’t call for the termination of the unconstitutional federal reserve (which is bringing America down to it’s knees, and will cause the collapse of the empire if something isn’t done about it)… He’s more of the same, the only difference is that he’s half black.

Why before every american election the world is so interested in the results!? and everytime they hope the new president will set right what his predecessor did wrong!?

We hoped Clinton will win coz bush Sr. attacked Iraq in Gulf war.
We hoped Bush Jr. will win coz Clinton attacked Iraq and Sudan and supported Israel.
and now we hope Obama will win coz Bush invaded Iraq and Afganistan!

lets face the facts, all US presidents will support Isreal and bomb arab and muslim countries and kill innocent people if it is in the best interest of America, its that simple.

Why are arabs so weak that they hope for a good american leader to come and rescue them from their current situation!? we should focus on strengthening ourselves so we’re immune to the results of american whims.
Do you think people in China care who will be the next American president!? people of Soviet Union in the old days and Russia today to a lesser extent? Venezuela?

Did the people in the days of Haroun Al Rashid care who the Byzantine emperor is?

I love that your kids will grow up living Obama as president. I’m not American, but I’m certainly a product of it’s education, culture, media and spirit. I’m very critical of a lot of things American, but I love the idea of America I grew up with, and now after a long break, that faith is restored. Obama and America have a lot of challenges, and time will tell how he’ll perform, but he has the right attitude, and that has enormous power and possibility. I had goose bumps all thru the night/morning, following tweets and streams.

In the final analysis, everything really does change, and that’s the point we should start at.

Ahmad, you got your wish! Mabruuk! Now, with those boys of yours, sit down with them and explain what it means to be in this position. As he leads, as he makes mistakes and makes changes, detail the process. Incredible teaching moments ahead, make the most of them.

Thats not the point, point is if you’re weak you’ll keep hoping something will happen and the one bullying you will ease abit on the bullying. and thats where we are right now.

Skip Haroun, do you think it would matter for the people of china who the next president is? at least not like it would matter for the arab nations.

anyways, the dude won. let’s hope he doesn’t kick are ass very much.

…so much to say on this topic a simple blog comment just won’t get it done. let me just say that i agree with all your previous comments and think you all are very observant and probably have a better grasp of the situation and issues surrounding this past election and all the ramifications thereof than 99% of the us population…which is pretty sad for us.
