Migrating to Mac feels like immigrating to a first world nation

Can you please do one for me ;)

switch swiss flag for Libyan flag …

headline: Apple is like Qaddafi in a way …

Body: they’re both fun and different but thank God they don’t rule our world …

    refer to this : http://andfaraway.net/blog/2009/07/05/now-happier-at-service-announcement/

At least, I get to have my individual style, that doesn’t have to be “apple approved”. For instance, for all the wonders of Mac OS X, does it allow you to change the windows theme or color ? What if i don’t like gray ?

(ps, this wasn’t a fan boy reply, i actually admire all 3 major operating systems for goodness)

Apple’s OS is for certain tastes, and Windows is for others. It’s a very unique individual decision. (And no, nothing in the Linux world compares to either for ease of use/slickness).

As a new migrator myself, yes apple is the advanced world’s services like.
Everything works by itself, you do not need to dig deep.. the apple people understand that not everyone is obsessed with technology programming, technology only :)

I’m happy with windows 7 been using it since beta, now using the final release, never crashed on me once unlike XP. I like the interface too. I understand Max OS is still safer and may even perform better, but if you know what to install and what you are doing, and have a decent system windows 7 is really good, and has more software support. for example, I heard office for max isn’t very good, and sometimes has compatability issues. I don’t think I can stand that gray look of the mac anyway, I am used to the new Aero interfance now that comes with windows 7, and there is a lot of themes to choose from.

Came back to mac after 14 years of windows… It has been a few months now, and everyday I am more in love with mac. It is really, as said, like immigrating to a first world nation. You feel respected as a user. You feel freedom. You rarely get the “Computer says no” thing on a Mac! Check this Little Britain video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TYAQ0JWBzE

Linux is also cool, but would require some geeks instinct in you, at least for the time being. What I love about linux is that it is open-source and free, and I wish they deploy linux-based distributions in schools; like ubuntu.

To all Windows users, just do the switch to mac. As Nike would say it: Just do it!

I came close to switching to MAC when Vista came out…but then decided it would be cheaper and easier just to stick with XP and wait until Microsoft sorted themselves out…and glad i did…Windows 7 has been absolutely superb…have been using it for the past few months and can’t be happier…incredibly stable, simple to use, loads of new features, amazing interface and and and…unfortunately for the vocal minority – aka the MAC community – who keep trying to convince us that MACs are so much better – bad news – the real Windows is back and its kick ass!
