I lost my iPod Shuffle in a public park in Frakfurt. That was a real bummer. I was wearing it aroud my neck. I think that it must have come off as I was carrying my youngest son. My sister-in-law pointed out that only the lanyard was around my neck and not the iPod itself. I searched for it but had no luck.
So here’s a little experiment. I’ve alway been quite lucky in getting stuff back. If anyone out there found an iPod Shuffle in Frankfurt’s Hausen area (in the ‘BuGa’ park), you know who to contact 
. It’s name is ‘Ahmad Humeid’s iPod’.
Thinking about lost iPods, it would be really cool if a lost or stolen iPod would ‘call home’ once it is connected to an iTunes that is not associated with it. Using the unique serial number and the fact that the user might have registered the device with Apple, this would be possible. I’ve seen a number of discussions about this on several sites.

I happened upon your site – I lost mine on a United Airlines flight. United, by the way, couldn’t care less and were eye-rolling rude. I think your “call home” concept is excellent and is certainly possible. However, I also believe that Apple won’t implement it. Why should they? They would lose money because they understand that enough people will purchase another iPod anyhow, so why cut into that revenue stream?! Hmmm, the downside of commerce. I’m on the verge of purchasing a new one too. I invested too much time putting my music collection (1,500 + songs) on my iTunes!

hey guys i go to skool and im a bit of an emo kid and i lost my ipod i am going crazy without it cuz when im upset i listen to music and im upset cuz i dont have music so i have nothing to listen to i think someone stole it cuz i opened my bag and it was gone and i am going through a heartache because i love my ipod so much mine was worth $450 id do anything to get it back all that money down the drain i had 2000 + songs on it i feel like crap got assignments a bit of jealousy i need to get my assignments done but i can concentrate cuz i lost my ipod. I phased in and out of my sleep as the plane bumped onto the runway. I’ve just flown in from Shanghai to Beijing like 3 hrs ago. and like 2 hrs and 30 mins ago, i realised i’ve lost my ipod…my….black 60gb video ipod. I’ve recently been travelling around china and have saved my some amazing pictures from my travelling. Uploaded some 8000+ songs. Why why why….did i leave it in the front pocket of my seat….why why why did i rush like so many people to be the first to want to leave a plane. The last object of my life that i’ve lost was my ex-gf but that was like 3 years ago. Losing my ipod feels somewhat the same….it hurts. Anyhows, the airlines authorities claimed there was nothing there seeming it was then only 2 hrs ago…but who can i blame but myself….it’d be too tempting to Not keep it for oneself and i’m in China :-p farks……my room’s so quiet now
i lost my ipod nano yesterday… feel so so so so upset… i cant imagine my life without it.. i listened to it every day… have no money to buy a new one.. and i still cant figure it out how could i lose it, it was in my bag the whole day, i did not open the bag and when i finally did it, my ipod was gone..

well, lucky not to have one YET! I’m sittin in Denmark n plannin to pick one 30GB n one Shuffle on my way back from Dubai, but im having second thoughts now, recently lost my MP4 player, I know i left it in the Hotel’s shuttle, but they dont know, hope the driver is having a blast with it, or till the battery lasts coz didnt loose the usb cables with it, anyhow loosin such tiny gadgets is a risk you buy with em, so LIVE ON buy NEW ONE, i lost my shitty thing thats why now im upgradin to a BETTER ONE, so the advise: do a little net search before buyin a new samething, who knows U might find a GREAT ONE………..
Well I lost my ipod one time at school and was thankful enough to get it back. About a week later I hadnt bought my Ipod to school. The last day of school i decide to bring it I had it at the end of the day but i went out with my friends late that afternoon. I sit down to eat and put down my bag with my iPod in it. I couldnt believe how stupid i was because it wasnt the first time it was the second time. I am so mad at myself for doing this and i probably wont get it back again

i just lost my ipod yesterday in school :’( i was in religion class and i put it in my desk (yes im an idiot) then later we went to the auditorium as a class, so when i went back to the classroom i took my bags and forgot it.. later afterschool i realized it was gone so i went back to the classroom and the teacher didntknow where it was or anything.. and i had to go.. but now i feel so bad because my dad is gonna be soo disappointe in me cuz i spent a year begging him for it.. god.. this is annoying

Today my ipod was stolen out of my school bag during gym along with $10… I’m extremely pissed off, I listened to music every day during study hall. That makes two ipods that I’ve lost, the first one was a $250 80Gb classic that got left on an airplane…
