I’ve been wanting to visit the Gaphiclub cafe/bookstore in Sweifieh but never had the time. Incidentally I think it’s fabulous that Amman has a graphic design ‘themed’ place like that. BTW: Does anyone have a URL for this place??
Yesterday I was inspecting one of our retail design projects in Sweifieh and I happend to pass by the Graphiclub. I found the place closed in preparation for a graphic art show entitled: Bulgarian Surrealism: The New Alphabet in the the EU, supposedly to open March 4 (yesterday was march 6 and the place was still closed).
As I took some photographs a young man approached and asked me: can I help you with something? (I don’t know if it was meant as ‘can I help you’ or ‘why the heck are you taking a photo?’ 
So I just said I wanted to visit the place and found it closed.. When will they open?
“In a couple of days..”

We had our first JB meeting there … this was last month!
They have some nice books on display (I ended up buying 3 books on my way out but that’s just so typical of me
), good coffee, yummy desserts and delicious ceasar salad 
They should lower the volume a little bit though … the music was really loud that we could not hear each other
I just contacted one of the partners, The Graphic Art show, is being delayed till the 20th Mar based on comments from Embassy’s and so on…. alot of variations at the last minute… So anyway, they will open their doors for visitors sometime soon…
How I know these guys, I’ve been there a few times & I have some business going on with them… I’ll till you one thing try the Orio Shake
One last thing, they don’t have a url yet…
Same thing happened to me today… and the coincidence was that, I headed to Chez Hilda after that, and found that it is also closed for redecoration!!
i walk by them daily, and i didnt read this one

it seems the letter R doesn’t like the letter A in the logotype.. it’s killing me
usually they dont´t like each other!

they had a license problem when they first started and closed as well. jinxed ya 3eini
that’s true, i went there 2 weeks ago and it was closed as well, will try again soon
