It just blows my mind that SanDisk will be launching a 4GB version of it’s fingernail sized memory card in a few days (in May). The 2GB version is retailing for 20-50 US$ these days (some computer history: as a kid, I paid JD 50 for a 16 KILOBYTE memory expansion ‘box’ for my first computer, the Sincliar ZX81 in 1984. The 2GB Micro SD has 125,000 times more memory for the same price 23 years later and a miniaturization factor of at least 1/1000, not to mention that SDs card don’t need power to hold their memory).
SanDisk | Corporate | Press Room | Press Releases:
SanDisk® Corporation (NASDAQ: SNDK) today introduced a 4-gigabyte (GB) microSD High Capacity (SDHC™) card —the largest capacity of the world’s smallest removable flash memory card. A 4GB microSDHC™ card can store more than 1,000 digital songs or more than 2,000 high-resolution pictures or up to 8 hours of MPEG 4 video
Here, for your enjoyment (or horror is a picture of Sinclair’s 16 KB memory card.

These stupid HC cards are not backward compatible with any SD host device released more than 6 months ago. Even most of the new ones that don’t show HC on them will also not work!
So if you need to get it, you need a newer device to use it. (microSD cards can be used in newer HC host devices)
Nice news in deed, reminds me of my very old computers hard disk

That day, i saw 16GB flash USB! I think in no time they will reach 80GB and 160GB. All the Docs and data you have collected in 20 years will be in your pocket, Amazing. I am sure Harddrives as we know them today will vanish
