Why is the net so slow today?
For the past few hours (it now 1:45 am) net access has been extremely bad. Some sites wouldn’t even come up. This is horrible.
Anyone else experiencing this?

I blame facebook. Seems to wreak havoc on my system the last few days, every time I run it my system goes into slow motion. Too much Java, maybe?

Ditto!
Let me guess, there’s a massive attack underway somewhere on the internet. We’ll probably hear about it in the news tomorrow

I had this problem with Qwaider.com all day. not with other sites though.
may be it is the start of schools that is putting pressure on the net.

Yes Ahmad, I’m experiencing the same thing, my provider is Orange. I thought it was the router at first so I restarted it. Then I shut it down completely because I didn’t want to lose more bandwidth for nothing. Do you notice that it’s also slow on Fridays?

Orange?
it was veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery slow yesterday :@ .. i gave up on it

Yeah same here (orange), was unusable last night.
Plus it had been slow to begin with since I exceeded the rediculously low monthly bandwidth allocation (12 GB).
When will we have unlimited internet like the rest of the planet.

Seems Orange were having technical difficulties. I called them and they confirmed it, they couldn’t say what it was though. seems to be working fine now.

I blame Orange. Most of my friends are having issues as well. They’re off to a good start, I see.

not only orange ya jama3a …. nor any ISP…
at the company we’re connected through a VPN with Nuqul group and directly through satellites … and it was slow …
and Xpress have their own connectivity through satellites as well … which means it aint something in the jordanian networks ….

Jad, TEDATA claim that all ISPs in Jordan are hooked through something called (Hashim1), and that they’re the only ones hooked up through a different rout.
Its possible, because at one point i had access to accounts from Wanadoo (now orange), Batelco, and TEDATA, and there were at least two incidents where Batelco and Wanadoo accounts had an outage at the same time while TEDATA kept on working.
