UPDATE: The news now is that the Kinetica Museum will open on Friday the 6th.. But the video demo should be viewable starting today.

UPDATE 2:

A reader of Free Energy Tracker has posted photos of of Steorn’s promotional banners that are hanging at Kinetica Museum.

Steorn Banners at Kinetica
My goodness. The blogosphere is buzzing and even some newspapers have run stories. But the Steorn Orbo device was not revealed, to the utter disappointment of many.

Technical difficulties, Steorn says. The Kinetica Museum had to close its doors for today. Some people have travelled fro far places to see the demo and they are, understandably, pissed.

This is the link, where the demo was supposed to be streamed. Instead of the demo, there is an ad running (for the streaming services).

The Steorn home page has this to say

We are experiencing some technical difficulties with the demo unit in London. Our initial assessment indicates that this is probably due to the intense heat from the camera lighting. We have commenced a technical assessment and will provide an update later today. As a consequence, Kinetica will not be open to the public today (5th July). We apologise for this delay and appreciate your patience.

The skeptics are gloating on the Steorn forums. There is a “told-you-so” attitude on many blog comments.

Is this the darned “demo effect”. I am sure it happened to you before. Something works all the time but the minute you want to show it to other people something goes wrong.

What is surprising to me is that the demo setup is so “unstable” that it faced problems when moved to a space with heat from camera lighting. Then again, this is probably a special demo device created for demo (with translucent materials, to show that there are no batteries).

Nonetheless, I would have expected that Steorn have pre-tested their setup, knowing that they eyes of many are focused on them for this demo.

I’ll keep watching the situation!!

    Infinite Energy Machine?…

The Kinetica museum, London, will presumably be hosting a ten day public demo of a machine created by Steorn Orbo — which he claims will provide us with infinite free energy. Free energy stories have made their rounds before, but the implications of …

I think Sean should declare to the world that he is going to lower the boiling point of water. That would save the world a lot of energy.
And it would fit in perfectly with all of the other BS he has been saying.
