In yesterday’s Al-Rai, Husni Ayesh [Arabic link] presented two intriguing pieces of advice to Hamas, both of which would be political bombshells.
1. Appoint Hanan Ashrawi, a globally respected, christian Arab woman to the post of Foreign Minister in the the upcoming Hamas government!
2. Recognize Israel under the 1947 UN resolution that portioned Palestine into an Arab and Jewish state (see map).
Very good propositions, I would say!

With all due respect, it seems Husni Ayesh doesn’t read or watch the news.
Her position of Hamas is very clear.
ha ha, 2 is a classic. And yes, I’ve spoken to Ashrawi personally, and she said she will not take part in a Hamas cabinet because she does not think religion has any role in government.
